Our PNAS Article on Marshall Islands' Radiation Levels

Seventy years later and the Marshall Islands still suffer the consequences of nuclear fallout, our paper finds.

We are very excited to share that our study on background gamma radiation in the northern Marshall Islands was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy. The paper is freely available online.

The article has received a significant amount of media coverage, including in the Huffington Post, Motherboard, Gizmodo, Business Insider, Smithsonian Magazine, Science Magazine, Science News (where it topped the list of most viewed articles for a few days), Popular Science, Science World Report and IFLScience.
